Man I can even imagine doing this. But has anyone done this and regret it ?

Did it when I moved here from Indiana. Words of advice if you are gonna do it sell the livestock but keep the tank. You will come back.......

i just sold my 3rd tank as u know. and ahhhh, what a relief.

okay, fine. i must say it sucks. less maintenance is good. but be prepared to sell everything for half price. and if u bought it for half price, but prepared to sell it for half of half price.

I did but did not have a choice. I hated the who time I had no tank

I do it every few years actually.........

Would have been out of it now had it not been for setting the 6g Fluval up in my office.

Life changes, and it's something you can always come back to. Every time I come back to the hobby, I've learned better "what NOT to do". It was last time I got out of the hobby that I decided to never own a tank I could not move myself (fine choice for anyone who wants a big tank, just not a good choice for me).

I think I've decided to keep my equipment this time, for the next build, and just store it for now. Meanwhile, I'm lovin the 6g Edge at my desk in the office...

I'm running out of things to do. Hopefully my frsg/ breeder set up will amuse me

Than - just find you a good doctor to help you with that ADD an you will be all set. For someone who only checks in here every few days now would think you have a medical condition by reading all your posts..

I say that lovingly.

But to your topic. I am seriously considering a sell off. I dont have the time I once did and cant bring myself to spend the kind of money I did a year ago. I was thinking of scaling back to a FO over the course of a couple of months, sell all my reef items and equip then sell the rest. Maybe Ill keep the tank since I will never recoup what I paid.

By doing it over time I can avoid catastrophic financial loss, or at least not updating my threads with price drops each week. I wont be selling any frags - all colonies and multiple colonies on one rock kind of sale...ebay & CL, I might not even list it here....too difficult to sell items here in my opinion.

Selling on here isn't that hard. Just ignore the cheap-o. Lots of members will give u better offers tha CL. And u don't have to deal with shipping. I just need something to do. Let me know of u have colonies for sale.

I probably dont have anything you dont have already.

You need to buy my 55 gallon and start a new tank. I find starting new tanks always keeps me occupied for a while....until the next one!

Why not redo your rock work buy sum brs rock, hammer, epoxy, craftsman flat head screw driver set and make the tank how you realy won't.
And before you say I can't no one is born with eny skill you have to learn it

It is not about bigger but more. Bigger tanks are great but more tanks = more to do.

Edit:

^^ Funny you mention this....... Seems every time I really get into reefing and start more than one tank, I get tired of it very quickly!

Looking back, I've gotten out of the hobby within 3 months of having more than one tank....

It's good to know your limits!
