Tank cycle question

After a new tank cycles, brown algae grows then cyano and then green hair algae. My question is if you buy rock that's already cycled or cycle rock in trash cans will you still get this new tank algae bloom. What's brings about the algae bloom? Is it nitrate?

I believe that you will get bloom. When an ecosystem is disrupted it has to balance itself again. If you are adding cycled rock to uncycled sand you will have a cycle/bloom.

You'll have a cycle regardless. I didn't get hair algae when I cycled with live rock and live sand. I did when I used dry rock. Dry rock seems to be more likely to leach phosphates
