Tank Cycle

So I am a little rusty, back to the hobby. 40g tank, in week 3 live Rock added. I have the Brown Diatom bloom in the cycle. See picture, Is this the point I know clean up with siphoning and cleaning off rock, skimmer running etc, along with power heads.

No live stock, just working my way through the 3 weeks.

Yep, that is what a cycle looks like. Might add a couple blue legs or red legs and feed the tank once or twice. I'd also check the ALk and PH just to start sorting out how hard it will be for your to keep those in check. Looks good so far. Congrats on the new tank.

Thanks very much, so do you recommend any siphon cleaning, partial water change at this point.? continue the cycle with no interference and will add a few blue legs.

Scrub it out a little bit + siphoning will help. Do a water test to make sure it is safe for livestock. Slowly adding fish. Don't rush. Maybe 1-2 at a time first.
