Tank location ?

Who has their reef tank in their entry way? Thinking about this, but my fear is all the natural light causing an algae night mare. Right now my tanks are in my office where they get almost no natural light.

I would assume if your nutrient (phosphate specifically) levels are under control, a couple hours of sunlight won't do much harm...my lights dont cut on until Noon, and my tank get significant lighting from windows and I don't notice anything too bad.

You can always add some uv tint to the Windows
