I had an idea to have two displays on one system and decide I would use a 20L tank and cut it in half with a dividing wall painted black and went from there...

I'm actually waiting for silicone to dry as i'm writing this.
So let me know what yall think.

Attached some pics to keep everyone happy :D

Cool! Love to see good DIY stuff. What kind of skimmer do you plan on running (if any)? or is it going to be a refugium with macro and reverse light cycle?

Where does the water overflow into the rear chamber?

Water will over flow into the front not exactly sure how I will do that without disturbing the sand though. Any ideas?

love it

That is just the sump!

It will be a display but not the main tank, i'll post some new pics of the tank n all soon.

Love it. You going to have a display fuge set up in the front. You can call me and I can give you a couple of ideas how to let the water roll over with no disturbance to sand bed or micro bubbles. 678-414-5648

Heres a few pictures of the nearly finished set up!

Added a water change ball valve and hose,
Made a return using pvc with small slots and a 1" cap on the bottom (Still need cap)
Painted all plumbing black... except the valve
Made a fish-and-snail safe over flow using finishing string..

If anyone has any ideas lmk because I'll be starting my cycle sometime this week if not next!
Enjoy. Oh i take photo requests if anyone wants to see anything else close up

update... Did a leak test.... No leaks!
however... when i was draining the sump i drained the front first and the dividing wall pulled loose... Amateur mistake!
So I added some silicone to the sides which came loose and filled the front with water to keep them tight while drying, not as good as before but they seem to be good now, and considering there will always be water in the front (always pressure pushing against the silicone), I assume the walls should be fine!
Oh, I also managed to hang my aquamedic pendant over the sump too
