Reefers, I am assembling a muscle dream team for Sundays move, how much do you think a 140 g tank with sand will weigh?

The sand bed is about 3 " deep from the pics that I have.

I carried my 125 gallon with 2 people, but it was empty (probably weighed around 200lbs). Sand weighs a lot, so I'm guessing 300-400 lbs? I'd get at least 4 people.

The problem with adam's tank is it is a corner bowfront. that gives you room on the corners for 3 and maybe one on the front.

talk to some sponser or members and see if you can borrow the suction cups used to move glass with they are a life saver when moving tanks

Just moved a 100 gallon tank up a flight of stairs yesterday. 24x48x20 1/2" glass all the way around. I calculated the weight at 200 lbs. The FedEx shipping label said 300 lbs. Probably somewhere in between as I moved it in the shipping crate. We did it with three guys and while no where near impossible, it wasn't easy.

Quite simply, remove the sand!

Your welcome to a large rubbermaid container I have if you need it. I used it to keep my rock in. I'm planning to put the rock in tomorrow and won't need it anymore.
