Finally got my Nuvo 10 cycled. I’m taking on the challenge of making this a mixed reef.

I will be buying your frags soon

Build:
Nuvo Fusion 10
AI Prime and Aquaknight V2
Tunze Nano ATO
In-Tank media basket
Hydor nano heater
Koralia nano
Mostly pukani and MacroRock scape.

So far only Matrix and filter floss. Will be doing 50% water changes weekly and adding carbon later. May go without a skimmer on this one.

For livestock, I’m very much leaning towards zoanthids and acropora dominated, with maybe a sparse amount of lps. The upper areas will be all acros and the sand bed and base of the rock formation will be covered in zoas.

No fish for now, but I’m considered a pair of wrasse, possibly a pink streaked and a Tanaka Pygmy.

Tank has been cycled for over a week and now there’s a diatom explosion. I believe that the marcorock I used is leeching silicates. I consider this a good thing, as its free food for the ceriths and nerites that I’ll be adding this week.

I placed a frag of brown palys in to test the tank out, and they seem quite happy. I’ll be adding several frags of more vibrant zoas/palys soon.

Since I’m not running a skimmer, red gracilaria will be my main means of nutrient export, along with water changes. I grow it in my main display and it works wonderfully

Red Gracilaria. It’s my favorite macro. Doesn’t grow too fast. Doesn’t take over. It’s very hardy, and great for nutrient export.
