Tap water or RODI water

Hi all. I'm finally at the stage of putting water in the 300 gallon. My question is, can I cycle the tank with tap water or do I have to use RODI?

Go ahead and fill that monster with rodi.. took awhile when I filled my 320, but didn't have to battle the tap water problems later on..

Yup. You "can" do an initial fill/cycle with tap water and some water conditioner. But at that size, i imagine you also have an RODI system. And if you dont, you will definitely want one.

For that reason, i say to use RODI and save some later headache. It may take a few days to produce 300 gallons, but it'll be worth it.

+1 for RODI, you'll definitely want your own for a 300.

RODI. The cost will be far out weighed by problems tap water can produce.

Lol, I'm having problems I don't know if it's my phone or the site I do have a RODI and I started filling the tank with it last night. Thank you all for your input.
