I recently purchased a TDS meter and came to find out my tap water is around 30 TDS! I was curious what some of yalls tap water might be around? Most videos I've seen around the country have a TDS of around 200-300. We have some decent tap water here around north Georgia it seems.

This is why I don’t use an RO membrane.

Just a filter bank, including 2 DI cartridges in series.

As they are used, I take out the first cartridge. Move the 2nd into the 1st position. Then replace the 2nd with a new one.

Using refillable cartridges with bulk DI resin saves money, by DIY.

Dmitri, you might want to stick with an RO due to the volume of water used, to help conserve DI resin use. Then water your garden with the waste water ;)

I've been giving this some consideration for a while now. After filling my storage tanks up a couple times in the last week I may be at the tipping point.

I believe I've made about 2000ish gallons in the since I've started and according to the meter 5100 have gone through the RODI system. So I'm at the point that I need to change out the carbon blocks but the DI cartridges look good still.
