Ok so I had a Loy going on this past week. Well I'm working on the tank and the temp is 72. With the exception of a few small acro frags everything looks fine. So what is the best way to raise it or should I just leave it be?

Thanks,
Colin

just raise it slowly to where it needs to be, 2 degrees at a time won't hurt nuthin, i don't care what al gore sez
i raised mine about 3 degrees last week

I have been battling temp swings all week.....With my sump in my basement it has been getting mighty cold down there. I have (5) 250w heaters going and they just on all the time. My water temp is between 69 in the morning and around 72 by 7 pm...I hate the flux going on....So today (which is probably to late) I'm adding 2 space heaters in my basement to try to raise the air temp up some. Everything in the tank seems a little stressed but living. Crossing my fingers....

I had some significant changes as well over the last couple of weeks. Adding a small space heater sure did help.

Same here but so far no damage yet. My temps ranged from 72-76. I ended up adding another 200 watt heater for my 95 gallon. I'm now running 450 watts and now the temps stay right around 77-78F.

I really need to get that furnace in the basement fixed and replace that electronic unit that lights the gas. The temps at night down there hover 66 at night but at least now I can keep the water temps proper.
