Tentacle? Poop? What the what?

I dropped some Rod's in the tank, and suddenly one of my hammer corals had these longs strings of something brown coming out of two of its mouths:

What are these?

I see it with my corals sometimes. I believe it is waste.

How long have you had them? If their new it may be the symbiotic algae. If your have hade them for a while its poo.

They've been around longer than anything I have, so I reckon it's poo. Wow, that's a lot of poo!
