Testing links or sticky for a newbie.

I've got a few friends that want to start up a few nanos. Is there a link or a place to refer them to what they need to test for ,and the results numbers they should go for. Maybe we should make a sticky for new members.

Looking for more about testing water conditions. A lot of people start this hobby and don't really know what to test for in there water.

that would scare new people away from the hobby, maybe that's why it's not a sticky

I would tend to disagree a little with the article. How can you say that phosphate is more important to test for than nitrate?

I agree, John. I think the hierarchy of importance isn't quite right. I'd even put nitrates in the "critical" category.

Other than that, I think it does a good job at explaining the effect each of the parameters has in our systems.
