looks great! I guess I would need two over a 48, but 50,000 hours of light=10-20 years!

what ya think?

Are you sure you would only need two? That only covers 32 inches of your tank. I have NO idea when it comes to LEDs though!

I havent looked at the plasma yet but these look interesting indeed. I would need at least 4 of these so its a little pricey still for me - plus my fixture is only 6 mo old.. Theres no way to change the bulbs once you buy it? that would be a big drawback...

Looks like an interesting fixture. I'm hanging around the fringe market for LED, so I love seeing new things like this! What I do not love, however, are websites that embed music that is set to auto-play.

JBJ just released a 28 gallon LED. I was look at getting one to try the LED thing. I'm still not sold 100 percent on LEDs.

The thing with the LED lamp lifespans is that we REALLY don't know yet how long they will last in an aquarium environment.

IN a dry test environment we know they CAN last that long, but they just haven't beenaround long enough to REALLY know.

That being said.. I think LEDs will rule soon. MY DIY array is really... well... pretty awesome. I wish I had a way to measure the PAR vs my Aquactinics T5
