The Great Barrier Reef is dead

Yesterday, the Great Barrier Reef was officially pronounced dead. I enjoy scuba diving and this was always a place on my bucket list. Truly a shame... Anybody have any thoughts?

it's not dead, it's dying and needs to be saved. The article posted yesterday about this was incorrect. Not that this isn't a serious situation, but it's not dead yet.

that's great news! I mean still not a good situation obviously... but good news that it isn't yet too far gone.

agreed it's not great news, but there's still a chance to save it.
