I picked up a couple of zoa colonies from a member and noticed some funky yellow (super thin and long) worm like stuff on it. Might not be worms, but something else, though
It is all extending from one center and doesn't show any self movement other than water current.
BUT it retracts the worms back into the center when touched.
Under a magnifying glass the yellow worms have tiny black stripes.

My camera sucks to get a good pic of that, sorry.

They come in with the live rock. Nothing to worry about, detritus feeders, but they do annoy the zoanthid. I use tweezers to pull them out of the zoas when they are bothering them.

Any links or anything?
I pulled out as many as I could - they don't seem to bother anything, just purely an optical nuisance.

Hello,

I was looking at my live rock last night and saw a Long white tentacle coming out of one of my pieces of live rock. It stretched out about 5 inches!!!! What in the world do you think this is?

What ever it is in that rock, it must be big. I'm scared to pick it up and look in fear it will take my finger off at the elbow!!!! Any Ideas?
