I hope someone will try a more expanded study/survey on Linckia again and be able to find more conclusive information. I'd like to have one, but I'm resolved to not to acquire animals I can't care for properly - especially if nobody else can seem to care for them properly either. My tank as planned (despite being nothing terribly unusual) is already enough of an ongoing experiment.

Regardless, the finding that the few reported to be at all thriving appeared to be homed in 100+ gallon tanks that were reasonably "dirty" is sufficient to tell me I should take them out of consideration for my 50g AIO.
