I have little green things all over my sand that look like short, fat, dull green/gray pine needles... about 1/16" - 1/8" long. They weren't there last night. This is sprinkled everywhere, like someone lifted a tiny, shedding Christmas tree and shook it all over the sand.

Yesterday we added a CleanUpCrew to the tank; could it be they're doing more messing than cleaning?

If this is poop, what eats the garbage that's left by the things eating other garbage?

Help!

:(

CUC:
6 Astrea Snails
4 Mexican Red Leg Hermits
1 Emerald Crab
6 Nassarius Snails
1 Serpent Star

Tank size = 33 gals

Sounds like snail feces to me. I see it in my tank from time to time.

Doesn't look like algea... it's not attached to anything ... seems to be *floaters*

I suspected it was Critter-Crap ... so, to get rid of it, just vacuum?

Good idea!!!

Would rather the filter did the work FOR me... that's what I'm paying it to do!

Thanks

:D

did an urchin come in that clean up crew?...he could be shedding secondary to stress..

I was thinking the same thing, slayer77. An urchin wasn't mentioned, but that does sound just like a stressed urchin.
