Hey all,
Our little one let out a squeal when she saw him so I am hoping it's a friendly lil guy. He is about half the size of a pencil eraser and was on the glass. I think it came off a small piece of live rock that was attactched to a piece of coral we bought last week.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks so much,
Scott

Most are harmless, there is a specie that's harmful to corals (look to see if there's red on their backs, if not, no biggie.)

Some folks find them a nuisance. They reproduce by fission (they split).

In most systems, they don't become a bother.

Yeah mine were fine until I got some zoas. Then they started eating them. (But mine DO have red on the back)

I'd had them for several years with no problems and mine didn't have red on their backs. Here's a few pics of what mine looked like. Be cautious if you have zoanthids.

He was gone when we went back to look. I have looked at night and never seen them before I have seen a couple of bristleworms but that's about the extent of what I have seen with a flashlight. With the pictures on Hack's thread I will most likely pull them as we do have zoa's and also GSP's.
Thanks all and ok to lock the thread if needed.

I have one that's been in my tank forever. Not sure if he's ever eaten anything.
