My tanks been up for two months and my clown has been hosting the frogspawn in the tank.. She killed the hammer frag I had I really hope she don't kill my frogspawn. You guys think its too soon to get a nem? I have a 4 bulb t5 light???

I just got a nem myself and with the research I did most recommended at LEAST one year.

Yeah that's what I was thinking.. Just hope she don't kill my frogspawn it's my fav thing in he tank!! It's a bi colored frog

Yeah, Man. Tank is too young....

When it is time, get the right anenome. BTA's don't move around much, and they will host clowns.
LTA's.... Not so much...
Carpets get very big, and eat fish...

+1 to everything he said, or at least in my experience

I am going to be that guy and say it depends on the type of nem. If everything in your tank is stable, and your parameters are right, a bubble tip would be just fine.

I usually add nems before anything else (to let them get settled before I add other coral), which usually is around 3 months of everything being stable. I have done this with 3 separate tanks and have never had any issues!

Time frames vary, alot of times the tank needs time for the owner to learn. More reason for people to over-estimate than under-estimate and tell someone who isn't ready to keep an anemone to get one. I would wait at least a couple more weeks, check ur params and then consider a bubbletip.

im not new to the hobby just wanted to see what the rest of you guys thought.. ill prob just stick it out for a few more months and then try my hand and hope i still have a froggy by then lol

I thought I wanted a nem, it was good for the first few months then started walking around. found it in a colony of zoas and that was that for the nem.

Ive added nems right after a Cycle and had no issues.

Kinda just depends if everything is stable. To me Age plays no factor. I have 5 nems in my cube now that i put in a month after i Set it up with Liverock

I tend to agree. They are cool... but much like blue cloves, xenia, and others, they grow too fast for me and cause issues by stinging things that I prefer over the anemone.

Edit:

Try a duncans coral. My clowns have been beating the hell out of my duncans for 2+ years and it just seems to make the duncans grow that much faster. They are a hardy coral, and much more predictable than an anemone.

My RBTA moved for about two days, found his spot front and center and has never bothered anything. It is actually something I have success with. :-)

after a week or so of the clown doing what it has been doing to the frogspawn looks like its ok with it.. so I think ill just stick with what I have..

+1... I have a long tenticle 4" in a cube with only a pair of Percs, a small Angle, and a saddle back i am holding for a couple of weeks, for another member... Nem is GREAT! In my big tank, I have a GBTA 5", a purple LTA 6", a green LTA 6", a rainbow rock nem, and a 15" RTBA. I have no issues with other corals (not yet at least.) I love the nems.. I put the LTA in my cube days after setting it up. That was a year and a half ago. I feed it a silverside a week, less than the others in the big tank. I want it to stay smaller. The clowns give it mysis daily, so much fun to watch them feed it.

Just my experience....

I have a rbta and love it. It was first In the tank just days after the cycle. My clowns just started hosting after a year. It's great to watch. It doesn't move but does touch a green slimmer and a birds nest without any problems.

My RBTA only moved about 6 inches from where I placed it in the tank and has remained there regardless of change in flow... It is hosting 2 clowns and an anenome crab with no problems. My clowns keep him fed, but I give him good sized chunks of shrimp about once a week...

My first GBTA (small GBTA) was one of the first things in the tank following my fallow period. After introducing fish, I moved him to where my clowns were after he set up on the opposite side of the tank. My clowns were too big and rough for the small GBTA, and he went on the move until he clowns ultimately killed it...

Right anenome at the right time with the right size should present no problems...
