i have 2 55 gal tanks and i'm thinking of taking one down, both have 2X96 and i was thinking of putting all the lights in one which would give me twice the heat :yuk:but twice the light 384 watts on a 55, to much? :eek: 7 watts per gal
i could do CLAMS?:yay:
 
and would also be better for the clam with 75%...also you ever need any help i am right down the road from you

Well,

I have 8x54W= 432W on my 55 and that is with T5s - your PCs will be fine.

Halides and T-5s put out alot more par and lumens than pcs do. I would shy away from a clam until you have 4x54w T-5s or halides just because most species have very high light needs. Heat wise you might have a problem because PCs seem to heat a tank more than T-5s in my experience. I would set it up and watch your temp. If needed used fans for evaporative cooling.
