I am considering beginning vodka dosing. Wanted to hear from you good people who do this or have done it .... is it worth the effort? What are the dangers?

Thanks in advance.

i haven't tried it but a bunch of drunk fish and corals sounds like the making of a good short film.

I use it and I can't see direct results but then again all my color is coming out but I just added more flow and more skimming power so I don't know

Proper feeding and GFO take care of phosphates and trates. I'll pass on carbon dosing.

I love vodka and I like dosing it in my tank, too! It's great to not have to worry about trates and phates while heavily feeding my fish!

Sps, love vodka, too!
Read the above link, and all it's sub links. Ask me any questions!

I dose also, worked my way up to 12ml for my 180 with 55 gallon sump. No nitrates after always hanging around 30.

You are correct, a denitrator does the same thing. Same results though.
