I have a toadstool that I need to relocate to the tank I have in my classroom and I do not want/can't move the rock its attached to. I was wondering if I could cut the stalk of the toadstool without killing the toadstool or any other inhabitants of my tank?

cut it with a razor blade as close as you can to the rock..... I highly doubt it will die... and you will grow another onel on the rock where it was cut

Many thanks. I have done some research and sites have stated that they can release toxins. Which was my concern. I will probably do it right before a water change and put in some extra rox carbon in a filter bag just in case.

is it yellow toadstoal.... because those can get nasty, but I've cut a brown one out of a 30 gallon tank before and no problems
