Toadstool self fragging

I have a toadstool that is getting decent sized. Recently several of its folds are developing into a completely formed frag. Stalk separated and attached only by the rim. I cut one loose a while back and I'm going to do the others.
Is this normal? I've been searching online and can't find anything.

Totally normal, sometimes a section will just fall off, and become a new separate coral. Welcome to the weird world of toadstools.

I've got one doing the same thing, right now, and it's almost completely separated. Disregard the whispy GHA :sad:
