After doing a little bit of reading, Ive seen suggested placement from "in substrate at bottom of tank" to "highest point of tank". Also read that Mh may be to intense? I have mine right up top under 250w14k's right now, seems to be lovin it. Just wondering y the wide range of placement ideas?

A torch can thrive in many different lighting conditions. I have one getting over 200 PAR right now and loving it.

mine is high in the tank under 150W metal halides and pc actinics and is HUGE, I think more light might make it come out of the aquarium and eat me!

They are awesome. Feeding it is important too if you want it to grow faster.
