Well not directly but due to damage.from storms I was left without power and will be without.power for the next week let night I decided to break down my tanks in a 6 hour effort and 1 1/2 hour drive at 9 after I got off work we got the tanks set up but it was too late due to water temps and too much stress to save anything I lost everything except for 2 frags just to run down short list that included a pair of ORA snowflakes redbta green bta carpet anemone red hornetz purple hornets pink scolly rainbow acans phils granulosa fire shrim and about 40 other frags of lesser name corals

It was really devisating and today I honestly thought about giving up.

Beccamc10 told me today on the phone as they had to watch all this happen while I was at worm dude its not even my stuff and im gonna throw up.

I will be posting.a for sale thread soon I think im getting rid of almost everything and starting over its just easier to get over it that way. I know im not the only one who has been there but you really don't understand his it feels. The only thing that gives me some comfort os to know that it was not directly my fault or something I did. The only thingim thinking was if I could have afforded a battery backup or generator but im at least thankful the storm didn't get me or my family as 2 people were killed less than 2 miles from where I live

So sorry to hear about your luck man. Good luck with all the cleanup and just getting life back to normal.

On a cheery not. I'm in to through a few things your way to put a few frags in your tank when u get it up and running. I hope that it all works out for you.

Good luck and God bless

Sorry to hear about your tank. Let me know when your back up an running I will have some frags for you. Good luck on everything.

Edit: Sorry to hear about your tank. Let me know when your back up an running I will have some frags for you. Good luck on everything.

what I'd recommend is a setup similar to what I did.. next time, when you are planning your stand.. build power INTO it (so that a single power cord (or two) will supply power to your entire setup..

then if you've got a power outtage, you can just unplug your tank, run an extension cord, and plug it into a generator outside.. (that way you wont need to do any heavy re-wiring at your house/apt, and you can purchase the generator when you need it..) I had an accessible 30A breaker, so I ran two 15A circuits for my tank.. but most can get by with a single 15A circuit...

I'm sorry that you lost the livestock.. that's NEVER easy..

I was so worried, I was going to loose power! I live in northern Cherokee County on the Pickens County line. We barley missed it! However, a tornado did touch down less than a mile away! Yes, a generator would be helpful! So sorry to hear about the loss! I know that has to be frustrating!

I have a lor and a small tyree jingle bell monti frag frag you can have once your set back up

i have some frags that you are more than welcome to. depending on the time frame. Right now, i have eagle eyezoas that i can frag, some pretty green ones that i am sure have a name, frogspawn and some flower leathers. I have green striped shrooms if you are interested.
in a month or so the 2 growing heads on my orange blasto should have matured and you are welcome to one of those.

U guys are too kind. Im working as diligently as possible to finish my stand so I can get the tank up and running.

is that 6000 startup amps?

does that give you 2000 running or so?

keep in mind when looking for a gen the big number is STARTUP amps (or surge amps) for when motors / compressors START up .

Sorry to hear about the losses :( You must be down close to my parents if it came that close to you, they were without power for 4 days. We got hit bad 3 miles from here too, but only lost power for a few hours- thank God! Big Lots in Griffin carries generators for cheap sometimes. We see them in there off and on, and of course they didn't have them when the tornadoes hit! They are $100 I believe. Next time something like that happens, feel free to call me. I could have helped you save your stuff since my power was on!
