How do you prefer to transport fish when picking up from someone other than a store? 5 gallon bucket... plastic bag... do you use an aerator... put a small piece of live rock with it?
Rock would just be an injury hazard IMO. Aeration is only a factor if it will be bagged for a long time.
I just got a Naso that spent 12 hours in a stryofoam shipping box during a system teardown and drive from SC, and he was just dandy when I got him home. Didn't even seem stressed.
And if it is a tang, either use very heavy bags, or double them, preferably both. Some clip the scalpels to a blunt end; I'd rather not do that much handling of a struggling fish.
