hello, i have a 30 gallon FO tank. with 5 fish ( 1 clown, 1 flame tail blenny, 1 lawnmower blenny, 1 flame hawk, and 1 canary wrasse). i am in the process of converting it to a Reef and Fish tank. i know it takes time to get it established. i have only had the tank running for 3 months so it is still young. i am planning on moving closer to reef tank after august. but i was wondering what a good trickle filter would be for this tank. and what size pump i should use with it. i don't know how to set up the plumbing to and from the filter. i have found a trickle filter by Eshopps for 10-75gallons, but i am wondering if anyone has used this product and what they think. also i wanted to upgrade to a 75 gallon tank in the future(6 months to a year from now); i was wondering if it would be better to get a trickle filter that would be able to handle the 75 gal. with easy but not be too much for the 30 gal. if that is possible. any feedback is appriciated. i am still new to the hobby and still learning. thank you for your time and help.

30 gallon? Canister filter and HOB skimmer.......

Sumps are more benificial in larger systems, but a canister would be fine for that size tank. Really, any tank under 50 gallons can function nicely on a canister.

I have a Rena XP3 cannister filteer and a cheap HOB skimmer going now on my 30 gal reef tank and everything is doing great. Water params stay very good and the coral s just love it.
