I have this cleaner shrimp 6" + he's been great cleans my fish regularly. I have this Niger Trigger fish waiting for me he's about 4" what's the proper way to introduce them if any. He's been in a friends tank with a cleaner also. Thanks for info.

Keep him well fed and your fingers crossed, thats about all you can do.

In all seriousness I wouldnt attempt it unless you are perfectly ok with losing the shrimp....may not happen today, tomorrow, or ever but could at any time

all inverts are a potential menu item for a trigger...

If it were a blue Jaw I would be less worried about it but a Niger not so sure I know that blue jaw/throat are pretty reef safe...I'm sure however there have been instances when they have not been reef safe

I love it when people listen to the advice they ask for and do the smart thing!

Yeah for the good of the shrimp I dont wanna be selfish and try n have best of both worlds. I really like the shrimp but he's no good to anyone except the trigger if he's eatin. A plus side is I help little cuz out with tank so I can see him still.

Fire shrimp loves to ride on the back of my pink tail. Course, the trigger still hides when I approach the tank so I haven't been able to get a pic/video. I can only see it from the couch...

I have a cleaning shrimp whos body is about 2-3 inch long. I've had it for about 3 months and has it's own little territory. About a month ago, I introduced a 3-4 inch Niger Trigger to my reef tank. Since the shrimps territory is right outside a cave, the trigger hung out just outside the cave and the shrimp jumped right on him and cleaned him. It was that way for a couple days and he still goes to visit the shrimp. They've been getting along great. Hope it stays that way...
