Tube Anemone on the move

Here is a new one (at least for me). I came home from work today to find that my pink tube anemone apparently decided he did not like his tube. He has been in the same place in the tank since I bought him almost a year ago. He did not move far though - you can see his tube just inches behind him. If anyone knows what could have prompted him to abandon his tube, I am interested in your thoughts.

That's odd! If it were mine I would move its tube close to him facing the correct direction for it to re enter.

I've had a feather duster get its head blown off (I guess) and grew a new one but don't these guys work the same?!

I wish I knew. He seems to be doing well though. At first i thought only his tentacles were out of the tube, but today he is extending the tentacles and part of his body. Weird. Got to love this hobby.
