tubs blue

I have a colony of tubs blue zoas.. that will only come out in the shade. Has anyone else had any success in getting them to open in direct light?

Mine (until they were eaten) were out in the light. The frag rack is close to the top of my tank under a 175w MH.

Mine come out under 400 watt Halides, but the colony is at the bottom of the tank (on the sand bed), about 42" below the actual bulb (LumenBright Mini Pendants).

Dito...400W at the bottom of a 36" tank. They don't like direct light and tend to be bluer when they at more shaded.
