Tunze 9002 Broken

I have recently purchased a Tunze 9002 to replace my stock skimmer. I have started carbon dosing and noticed my skimmer was not pulling much skimmate. I took the skimmer apart and the clear plastic arm that connects to the plastic tubing airline to the intake was broken I am in need of the replacement plastic connector as I carbon dose. I guess I will put the factory skimmer back in, however what's a factory skimmer when you have a Tunze

you may can find a fitting that will work at a hardware store. or even at a petplace where they sell the air line stuff for FW tanks.

I looked last night, but I had no luck. I tried to Macgruber it and that failed too (blows up in face). I guess I will contact Tunze.

If you just bought it, I would say contact tunze and ask for a replacement. I bought one, and when I opened it, it had almost the same problem. Tunze shipped me a new one.

I've had several issues with various Tunze products. I've always contacted Roger(USA rep) via their forum on RC and he has always taken care of the problem. Great customer service.

That being said, I have the reef pack 200(skimmer/filter) and both of my nano pumps have gone out. I've inquired about just obtaining new impellers and was told to buy new pumps. Mine is about 4yrs old and the pump has been redesigned and is being discontinued. (although these were taken offline for better than 2yrs) The newer pump doesn't fit the new 9002. Considering modding mine with a MJ 900. Just an FYI
