I have an anemone that has been doing really well in my tank for several months however, yesterday I noticed his foot is still attached to the same spot it's been, but midway between its foot and body (where the tentacles are) is twisted like a wound rubber band. I lifted the rock up this morning (I didn't want to remove his foot) and spun it to help unwind him but I'm worried because instead of a full foot, there is now a small foot and a thin string attaching the foot to the main body. Do you guys think it will fill back up with water now that it's un-spun? Otherwise, the tentacles and main body look fine. I have no clue how it wound up in the first place b/c it's in a biocube with a nano powerhead. Thank you!

If you do some reading on anemones, twisting is a natural occurrence and they will straighten out with no issues.

Well, now he is untwisted BUT there is a problem; he detached from his foot entirely and is now floating around my tank. Left behind on the rock he was attached to is his foot and the twisted part of his bulb (body). It still looks okay, but I'm worried since the foot is gone. Do they grow back?!

Never heard of that before, but that doesn't sound good... You're going to have to find some way of getting it to settle & attach or it's going to get chummed in your powerheads.
