I have my filter sump running on my frag tank but at the moment it is not sustainable because of the size of the u-tube in the overflow which is 1.25" ID. My return pump is a Quietone 1200 which can't pump fast enough to push bubbles through the u-tube which eventually breaks the syphon. My choices seem to be a stronger pump which I don't really want to do or a smaller diameter u-tube which is my first choice. I think there was a recent discussion on making u-tubes, but I can't find it. How can I make a u-tube with a .75" or 1" ID? Thanks for any and all help!
