This one is in Spartanburg South Carolina. I was there last year, and it was really nice swap. Even Jason Fox was there, but I do not think he will be there this year.

For the freshwater people there are also freshwater sellers.

I will be there went 2 years ago and loved it! Bought a pair of black footed clowns from you spike and they are still my wife's favorite!

That was an awesome show . My fiance asked me Sunday if I'd herd anything about the date , she's wanting to go.
I was cycling sw last year at that time and only came home with fw fish and plants ... A year's worth of buyers remorse

For those who went last year, is this an event where you have to stand in line for 20 minutes just to see if there is anything at a vendor table you'd like?

I understand that that is just the nature of the beast, but it still irritates me and seems a huge waste of time.

no last year there were a good amount of people but not packed. i got to talk to Jason fox for like 20 minutes. it was very cool. lot of good knoledge to be learned and very cool coral and stuff to be had.

I agree 100% its very well organized , scaa members get in free everyone else I think was 5$ or less and they sell raffle tickets for some really nice stuff donated to the club and take written bids for silent auction (they had a true zebra pleco last year someone donated it went for like 300$ which is 2-300 under retail , I recall because I was out bid.
its all about raising money for there club.
It was a very well put on show considered its something there relatively new to doing.

The room they used on campus was a little small , if they had more vendors iv no idea where they would put them , but definitely worth the trip.
We got a room close by last year pretty cheap so we didn't have to get up early and drive 3.5 hours then back home that afternoon .
More than likely Will do the same again this year

I didn't even know who Jason fox was at the time but even with all my annoying nubie questions he spent a lot of time speaking with me about his coral , Great guy!!

Good crowd but no long lines in front of vendors, except for maybe JF. But hey standing in line in front of JF's tank is like going to Disney World, people are just dieing to stand in line to see the :wow:

Good info. I can always see his stuff online. Previously, I've had times where I've stood in line for 20 minutes only to find the vendor has 0 things I'm interested in seeing, let alone buying. That would be most uncool and not worth a 2 hour drive. Sounds like this might be better though.

I am not going to be able to attend today's swap. I had emergency surgery last week and Drs. order no driving. I hope whoever goes has a great time. I sure wish I was there and not sitting in my recliner. But at least I am on the right side of the dirt.
