I currently have a 100G tank that I have had for about 6 years. I have it in the wall in my basement. Starting to do some research on upgrading to something like a 135 or 150, which will go into the wall as well. Any recommendation on the type of tank( i.e. maker) and overflow. The tank I have now is pretty deep. I'm looking for is a tank that is not so deep. Would you do glass or acyclic?

Thanks.

glass, starfire, 4 foot wide, euro-braced....

Chris can do it from the old fishscales2...or others..

I have a 150 gallon starfire tank built by fish scales that i will be selling here in the next month or so. (5 x 2 x 2 )

On a tank that size wold probably be glass. Starfire is the best for sure but a bit pricey. You may want to see what other equipment you need etc and set a budget. I personally prefer acrylic but mist people scratch those things up. It has never been an issue for me.

"Starfire", is that the name brand or the material?

Edit:

How much and how old?

a 5x2x2 150 such as GMO will be selling would be a great choice. Excellent dimensions with a ton of choices for livestock.

Starfire or low-iron glass is glass that is basically CLEAR, not tinted green like most glass you see. I don't think Fish Scales uses "starfire" brand, but they have a comparable/identical low-iron brand which is gorgeous.

If the rest of your system can support a 150, go for it!

Starphire is low iron glass (no green tint). It's a brand, but it's like kleenex, it's the one you want to use
