So I was fragging some colonies earlier today and like usual, the water started to get cloudy. However, I got nervous when I noticed my urchins seemed to be smoking. Turns out he was just spawning. I was able to get a short video of it that you should be able to view by clicking the link. I've been trying to figure our what might have caused this spawning event and I'm coming up empty. I did a 5g water change right before but it's a 70g system and the tank and new water both tested at pretty close level. Temp, salinity and pH are all the same and so there wasn't a fluctuation there either. Who knows? Now I just have a mess of freshly cut frags bathing in cloud water. I changed out the carbon just in case there was something in the water I couldn't test for that triggered the crazy thing to spawn; that's the only thing I could come up with. Something stressed or irritated him and he let go.
