I got up this morning to find a new vcreature in my tank - clinging to the heating rod. It is dark mustard brown/yellow, has two thread-like antennae, appears like a slug, and the flap along its body, where it attaches appear to undulate. Is this a nudibranch of some type. Is it good or bad.

Thanks,

John

I keep my camera at work, where I am at present, and my tank is at home. I took the "thing" out and placed it in a bowl of water.

does it look like this?

It doesn't look like that, however, when I first spotted it, I did think it was mu cucumber. There is nowhere as much frilly stuff on it. It appears basically smooth, except a slightly bushy area on the back of its upper-back area.

Camera not functioning...does anyone have an idea what this is based on my description? It's about 1 inch long.

how about you ID it here:
