I purchased a Aqua 57 Watt UV last year. I noticed that my Purple Tang (that is never sick) appeared to show the beginning of Ick. So I replaced my bulb in preparation for treatment. After 1-1.5 days the Ick was gone. Is it in my mind or can UV treatment be that effective?
In looking at my bulb when I removed it, is was dark on each end practically black. Is that how UV bulbs look when they are burned out?
Additionally, is Garlic effective treatment if you soak food and allow it to dry a day or 2 before feeding it to the fish?
