UV Sterilizer's ???

I was hoping I could get some opinions on using one. Does everyone use one if they can? Are they worth it? Are they beneficial?

I happen to have a Coralife one I bought a while back and never have put it to use. I guess if I have it its worth putting into the system.


Just wondered what everyone thought of using one.

They are useful, but most of the ones you'll find in pet stores are way underpowered.

They are very beneficial in my opinion, but only if sized right with the correct flow through it. They will help with water clarity by killing free floating algae which means less glass cleaning. Kills excess bacteria and parasites. So, if you have one it's definitely time to put it to use. To me it's a no brainer.
