Vortech stuck in Upgrade Slave mode - Help!

I bought a MP40w Gen2 and used it to flash upgrade my old Gen1. After the upgrade process, the new pump flashes the successful code (Green/Yellow) however the old pump flashes Red/White which I understand means it is in "Upgrade Slave" mode. I cannot get the pump out of this mode and back to normal operation, no matter what I do. I tried this and it DID NOT work:

Hold mode (blinks white)
Hold mode + set (blinks yellow/white)
Cycle power to the pump

When I tried that it did nothing. The pump kept flashing Red/White with no change. This is annoying, especially knowing I spent so much money for this 2nd pump. (my original pump, the Gen1, is the one giving me this problem)

CLear the memory of the old one again and redo it. I can't remember the details of how to do it but their website has alot of directions.

Doesn't work either

The unit is totally nonresponsive, just keeps flashing red/white.
