What should the temp be coming out of a chiller? I just hooked mine up and have it running. The water is definately cooler but it doesnt seem to be much different than the tank water. Should you see a big difference? Dont know if I need freon or what the issue is. Thanks in advance for the advice.

I would check with something for correct temp cause touch can be very hard to tell temp. I only say cause its small difference not like hot/cold can feel with hand.

put a temp on the incoming and the outgoing and see what the difference is. The real key to a chiller and reduced temps is to make sure that the water isn't flowing thru so fast that it doesn't have time to cool. Most chillers run at a very slow gph....even the larger ones.

The outlet temp may not be all that different than the input. IME it is typically less than 1 degree. It will vary, based on the amount of flow through the chiller. Check the chiller documentation for the amount of flow to use. If you do not have enough flow, you can freeze up the heat exchanger, ruining it.
