Water Testing Before or After?

This may be one of those typical novice questions, but should I run my water tests before or after a water change?

pick a different day altogether. Then it won't matter. Test some before to see what issues you might have.

I test randomly... Doesn't do you any good to test after the test if you don't know what it was before and visa-versa. Just test in between...this is the water prams that your goodies are living in. It gets to be a mute point after a while if you are maintaining things well enough... I never have NO3, My calcium is always 450-500. My KH is always 10. Set up a maintenance regimine and stick to it no matter what and it will always be where it needs to be.If not, VERY small changes are all that need to be done to nudge it back to where you want it
