For a week now my water prams are off
PH 9
Calcium 340
KH 7
Everything else is in normal range
I have mostly SPS with several LPS (Superman chalic got bleached but is getting color back quickly)
2 clowns
2 turbor snails, too many hermit crabs 20+, 6 margaritas & mics others
should I stop dosing? Will his work it's way through with just continuing to do water changes?

I started using fushion 1 and 2 every other day about 10 days ago when i noticed calcium was low. I've been doing 10 to 20% water changes every other day.
I did put a new bulb in last week CF 105 quad white/blue standard for JBJ 28
Everyone is happy in my tank and growing well.
I have about 20 + pounds live rock (a year old, and 25 lbs live sand

What is your magnesium level? I don't see that listed. If it is low, the calcium you are adding may be precipitating out which is why the levels are not coming up. Magnesium is a big part of the Calcium and Alkalinity picture.

Dang, I wish I could tell you my mag level. Geez do I feel smart!
I use API reef test kit to test PH using the color card and my results are true blue. I will post back with mag level after returning from my LFS today. They tested 2 weeks ago and sold me Seachem Reef Buffer (powder form) but an ARC bud told me my Fusion 1 & 2 was better to use?
John, when you said "start a daily dose", what were you referring to?
Thank you

Eagle,

I did use the Reef Buffer but it says raises PH to 8.3 and my PH was high the next time I tested so I stopped that and stated using the Fusion 1 & 2 to raise Calcium which is low.
Today my Calcium is 360 and PH is 9 which are by no means exact.

I will have new test kits from OA today. They have a Milwaukee (don't know model) tester for $50 anyone have any input on their tester?

Thank you

Finally made it OA today and I bought a Seachem Multi test today PH/ALK & new Calc test. They were out of just the PH and Mag!
Using the new Seachem's tests:
Calc 440
Alk 2.5
Ph 8.3
Jeez! So you know I had to use old test as well to check results right? Yep, same old low calc and high PH. The old test has no date on it so IDK but, I sure appreciate your time.

Time is irrelevant if pH is 9. Something is wrong, whether tank or test kit

Here are a couple of good links for Calcium, Alk, and PH. I also agree that the Mag is a very important measurement to keep up with. The last link is a very good explanation of the CO2 to PH to Alk relationship

FYI ALK is now dangerously low for SPS!

No, I wasn't testing at the same time. I didn't even think of that!
Thanks for the links. So much to learn.
I'm working on the Alk, and appreciate all your knowledge.

Whatever you do to your Alk make sure you do it slowly. Low Alk may not kill your corals overnight, but bringing it up too fast will wipe out your sps intantly.

What would you recommend other than daily Fusion 2, which is all I have on hand. I was planning on asking lfs for recommendation but would appreciate your advise.
