I have access to a small Mac Mini computer that should be able to easily run some sort of webcam set up, but I've never done anything like this before. I'd like to set up an HD live stream so that I can watch my tank while I'm at work, out of town, etc. I'd ideally like something I can set up to have a very clean install. The tank is in my dining room so I can't be running wires all over the place. I could potentially put the camera in several places around the room mounted to the wall or out of the way.

Has anyone done anything like this before?

I've always just used an old phone and download one of the many IP camera apps. It just uses your exsisting wifi network.

Since I'm new to the hobby I wanted to keep an eye on things when gone. So I took a couple of $70 D-Link cameras that I was using for home security and put one in the sump area to monitor things and one on the tank. These connect wirelessly to my router and can easily be viewed on iphone or android phones or any computer. screenshots attached.
Let me know if you want more details. http://atlantareefclub.org/boards/data/uploads/attachments/1100160=69000-IMG_3550.JPG">[IMG]http://atlantareefclub.org/boards/data/uploads/attachments/1100160=69000-IMG_3550.JPG" class="gc-images" title="IMG_3550.JPG" style="max-width:400px" /></a> [IMG]http://atlantareefclub.org/boards/data/uploads/attachments/1100160=69001-IMG_3551.JPG">[IMG]http://atlantareefclub.org/boards/data/uploads/attachments/1100160=69001-IMG_3551.JPG" class="gc-images" title="IMG_3551.JPG" style="max-width:400px" /></a>
