What are these things on the sides of the statue? They appear to make webs like pest vermitids but they look nothing like them.

I noticed a little purple 'curl' about 2 weeks ago on a rock and it didn't move but it did grow slowly. omg... that looks scary nasty. I didn't even know those existed. I swear, when I upgrade, going all dry rock, and cutting every frag off any plug and quarantining everything first.

Cover them with superglue. My biggest regret was not nuking the one that I had come in on an acan colony. Now they're having a bloc party in my tank..
