What do I do?

New to the club and forum this month. I was all ready to pay my dues before the frag swap when I see that you get a free red planet, setosa or red hornet frag (while supplies last) if you join at the meet. Problem is Stacy will be at the door checking in members and they in turn will be getting all the cool stuff. Do I join now and get all the cool stuff or wait to join at the meet and get a red hornet? Decisions, decisions...:noob:

The free stuff you mention is from a member out of the goodness of his heart. Just trying to promote the club. The club on the other hand, will be giving out lots of free stuff as well. From my point of view, none of that is what made me join. What made me join was seeing how people helped each other out. That made me want to be a part of the club. If I wanted to be part of a club, I understood that the club would need cash to be able to continue to operate. Paying my dues was just my way of helping the club do that. Everything after that was just perks. If I could make a recommendation it would be to not join in hopes of getting free stuff. Join to become a part of a great group. Of course, that is just my opinion.

I am going to join the club regarless, meet or not. My #1 purpose for joining is to be involved in the club and learn all I can about the hobby. I've already learned more in the last few weeks of reading post from the various forums than I have in years.

Ok, maybe I got a little too excited about the free stuff, but my intention was to not to say that was the only reason I was joining. BTW, thanks for the opinion.
