Since I'm thinking of getting a tang I think I'm gonna tear down my turf screen and add a uv sterilizer. How big/watts do I need for 75gal?

Any tips would be welcomed. Can I put it inline with the return?

I just hooked up a 32W to a 180.

Here is the chart I used: http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=3578+4393+7999&pcatid=7999">http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=3578+4393+7999&pcatid=7999</a>

Also, in the instructions that came with mine, it told you watt GPH to run the UV depending on what you want it to do.

I run mine with a seperate MJ1200 so the light has more contact time with the water. A return pump depending on your application may just jet the water through too fast.

Also, I just got mine from Pet mountain and Linda Lee is doing another order with them if you don't already have the UV.

I have the 25w Gamma on my 90g. Works very good. Running a mag 3 on it with a ball valve to regulate flow.

My return flow at head is like 265-270gph. It said the 9w was for 100-200 & the one up from that was a lil higher. I wonder I'd either of those would work.

Personally, I'd run a 25W with a T5 bulb, not the PC. I have a 40 on my 140.

Just hooked up an 18W PC bulb on my 90. Its running tee'd off my return. The tee goes through my phosban reactor first, then into the uv, and back into the sump. Really slow flow...

I hate having a billion pumps running under my tank, and using up all my plugs so I try to run everything off my return. My calcium reactor is about to be fed from my return also...

probably not. They are made for ponds too... I bet thats what they ment...

I run the 25W Gamma on my 75 gallon, and it works very well.
