Sorry for the crazy long link.

Wow the video looks good of the wave box in action. Dont know much about them but wanting to learn more LOL.

Looks ok I guess. For the price I would stick with Tunze. They have great customer service.

Frankly, I didn't care for it -- didn't look random enough for me

Uhh its a wave box, it makes waves...they are not random....

For that price you can just make one with a 6100 a box and a simple circuit, but it just depends if you wan to spend another $100ish for a used tunze box or $200+ for a new one.

I cant see the vids, but if this is like the tunze, they dont do squat for tanks under 5' in length, and aren't really designed for "flow" If you want something with wave and flow, get vortex. Just something to think about.

Actually, I think if you watch -- you'll see waves are very random -- especially with the change in tides

Here's the movie for those that can't get to it. The wave box is on the left of the tank right at the beginning of the video and made out of clear acrylic.

Seems to me that anything that pushes/pulls a significant volume of water in and out of the tank should create some kind of oscillation in the entire water column that would eventually cause the entire tank to move back and forth in a beneficial manner. It might not make a "wave", but I wouldn't think it'd be useless.

Anyone got a wavebox on a smaller tank?
