Its not a fowler tank. It is heavy mixed reef with sps, lps, zoas and others. I try to take pics of the corals and most of the time I get the picture hogs in the way. They love posing for the pic I guess.
Very nice...Am I mistaken but is that a pair of bluethroat triggers with a pink tail - 3 triggerfishes or 2 (1 duplicate bluethroat pic)? One alone gets my vote, but 3 makes you 'El Presidente'. :wow2::yay:
Just 1 blue throat and 1 pink tail. I had a fowlr set up and the reef, I lost a stars and strips puffer that I had over 6 years and decided shut down the fowlr. I tried the trigs and tusk out in the reef and (knock on wood) they have been great. They haven't messed with the clean up crew or the clam. The wrasse is the one you got to watch out for. He carriers my clean up crew around like a Halloween candy bag.
Ah, sorry about your lost puffer. What a great friend for 6 years. But with 2 triggerfishes and a Harlequin in a reef tank, that is amazing...especially so well behaved with CUC and clam. Pairing male and female bluethroat will be next? I had one and miss it dearly, they are the bona fide epitome of 'cool' IMO.
