My magicians have done similar things, but never did they turn black. I wouldn't say it is a goner just yet. The links didn't work.

How long have you had it? Lighting? Where is it placed in the tank? what is the flow like?

only had it maybe a week or 2. is in my frag tank in front on bottom. Id say med flow, med light. Lighting over it is 150w reeflux 12k SE MH

hmm, has there been any huge change in the past few days or weeks? maybe going from high to low po4 or low to high ca, alk, or mg?

I have no scientific evidence to back up the direction i am heading other then speculations made after watching different corals react to variable environmental changes

i think i started the vinager AFTER i noticed this.. other than that, nothing weird..

i will, but it aint pretty.. my orange scarfaces look fine. just this one (my favorite!) i have heard they are finiky though..

Don't pull it yet. So many people are quick to chop and throw away. Numerous times have injured corals come back for me
