My magicians have done similar things, but never did they turn black. I wouldn't say it is a goner just yet. The links didn't work.
 
I wanted to see pics more or less to just admire. :)


How long have you had it? Lighting? Where is it placed in the tank? what is the flow like?
 
hmm, has there been any huge change in the past few days or weeks? maybe going from high to low po4 or low to high ca, alk, or mg?

I have no scientific evidence to back up the direction i am heading other then speculations made after watching different corals react to variable environmental changes
 
Don't pull it yet. So many people are quick to chop and throw away. Numerous times have injured corals come back for me
